A New Bern man ended up at a Greenville hospital after police say he was shot during an armed robbery Monday night.
New Bern police say the shooting happened at the intersection of Clark Avenue and Neuse Boulevard around 10:10 p.m.
Neighbors told police they heard three to five shots fired in the area.
Police say Dashawn Moore managed to walk to a house at 823 Clarke Avenue where he called for help. William Godette says the man collapsed on his porch, but he and his family were not home at the time.
When officers got to the scene, Sgt. Williams said Moore was already being taken to CarolinaEast Medical Center for his injuries. He was then transported to Vidant Medical in Greenville.
Police say Moore and several others were meeting at the corner when one of the people began firing at the victim.
Authorities have a warrant out for Deontre Randall, charging him with robbery with a dangerous weapon. Anyone who knows the whereabouts for Randall should call New Bern police at 252-636-5034.
Randall was wanted in Onslow County as well for the July 21 holdup of Lucky Time Internet Café off Richlands Highway.
