An eastern North Carolina Chef is taking his skill to the national stage for a chance to win thousands of dollars.
According to the restaurant's Facebook page, Persimmons' Executive Chef, Gerry Fong, will compete on the Food Network show "Cutthroat Kitchen."
As a competitor, Fong has a chance at $25,000 as he and three other chefs sabotage each other with kitchen obstacles. They must cook through the challenge and impress a judge in the taste-test each round.
The restaurant said Fong's episode will debut Sunday at 10 p.m. on the Food Network.
