Nature's Beauty On Display

For the first time in eight years the Tennessee Valley Authority is using the sluice tube at North Carolina's Fontana Dam to lower water levels in the reservoir.

After days of rain last week, river managers are trying to create more storage room in Fontana Lake in case of further flooding. TVA says they hope to drop lake levels by one foot per day.
