Nashville Food Company To Break Ground At Future Manufacturing Facility

A food company in the east will be holding a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of its future manufacturing facility.

Carolina Innovative Food Ingredients, Inc. in Nashville will be holding that ceremony Tuesday morning.

The food company will use advanced technology to make high quality food grade dehydrated and juiced fruit and vegetable products. Ingredients will be derived from vegetables, including sweet potatoes.

CIFI plans to invest about $20 million over the next two years and begin production of the new facility sometime in 2015.

The groundbreaking ceremony will start 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the future site of Carolina Food Ingredients, Inc. on 5244 Coleman Drive in Nashville.
