NHTS: Drunk Driving Deaths Down

The number of drunk driving related deaths has dropped in the U.S., according to a new report.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the number of people killed in drunk driving accidents dropped 2.5 percent in 2011 compared to 2010.

That outpaces the 1.9 percent overall decline in highway deaths. 2011 also marked the first year that drunk driving fatalities dropped below 10,000.
