Some Kinston families will be giving thanks for a hometown NFL player's kindness this holiday.

New York Jets outside linebacker and defensive end, Quinton Coples, is giving back at home on Monday with another turkey giveaway.

Coples is partnering with The Gate of Lenoir County and Piggly Wiggly for the event.

At 3p.m. Monday, families who live at the St. John's Village Apartments will get a free turkey until supplies last.

At 5p.m. Monday, more turkeys will be given away at the Piggly Wiggly store on Heritage Street.

There is a limit of one bird per household.

Those wishing to receive a free Thanksgiving turkey are asked to have two forms of identification and proof of residency with them, such as a driver's license or utility bill.
