NCDOT Conducts Survey For I-95 As Part of Economic Assessment

RALEIGH - In legislation that went into effect on July 1, 2012, the North Carolina General Assembly directed the N.C. Department of Transportation to conduct an economic assessment of potential funding options to improve I-95. As part of this assessment, the NCDOT is conducting a survey for residents of North Carolina.

The survey is available at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NCDOTTravelSurvey and responses will be accepted through March 22.

The economic assessment examines what the economic impacts there would be to upgrade and expand I-95. It also examines the economic impact of not making any significant improvements to the interstate outside of what can be done with existing funding.

Individual responses to the survey will be kept confidential. NCDOT also welcomes all citizen comments regarding I-95 at any time at www.driving95.com.
