With school getting ready to start Monday for a lot of students, local law enforcement wants to remind people to practice safety when it comes to driving and stopping for school buses.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office took to Twitter to say, "Change in traffic tomorrow. Watch for buses. Anticipate bus stops; kids are near."
The Greenville Police Department also tweeted, "Tomorrow starts a brand new school year! Drivers be on the lookout for buses -- and children getting off of them!"
The school bus stop law will be enforced. We've attached a link to the law from ncbussafety.org as a reminder of when to stop for school buses.
