NC Packs 4 Patriots Asks For Christmas Donations

By  |

NC Packs 4 Patriots in Ayden, a non-profit group that packs and ships care packages to troops deployed overseas, is beginning its push to prepare for this year's holiday season. They say they need items like small Christmas trees, unbreakable ornaments, lights and garland. They also say gift items like toiletries, snacks, card games, extra socks and DVDs are always in demand. Financial donations are welcome as well to cover the costs of shipping items overseas. Organizers say it takes weeks to gather and package all the items, and several more weeks to to ship the packages to hard to reach locations where our troops are deployed.

"We have troops deployed in over 50 countries around the world protecting our freedom and those of other countries around the world so we want to make sure that these guys are remembered during the holidays." Barbara Whitehead with NC Packs 4 Patriots.

You can help by contacting NC Packs 4 Patriots at 252-714-1175 or by dropping off donations at their Pitt county office located at 249 East Third Street in Ayden.
