Murdered Grandmother's Cat Abandoned, Finds New Home

A pet left home less after the murder of her owner faced an uncertain fate until our story aired Thursday. By Monday, that precious pet had a new home.

14-year-old Petunia's owner, Kim Flournoy of Jacksonville, was murdered December 30th outside the TNT Bingo.

Petunia was abandoned after Flournoy was killed and no family members were able to take her. We're told Monday this kitty got a new home and is no longer living at the PetSense store in New Bern that took her in.

A cat which belonged to a grandmother who was gunned down a month ago is looking for a new home.

Kim Flournoy of Jacksonville was murdered December 30th outside TNT Bingo and her 14-year-old cat was abandoned because no family members could take her.

Petunia, who is 14-years-old, eventually made her way to the PetSense store in New Bern and is now up for adoption through the Colonial Capital Humane Society.

The pet store says Petunia has no teeth and is not cat-friendly, but she is a very loving feline.
