NEW INFO: Mother Back To Jail, Accused Of Throwing Scalding Water On 9-Month-Old Daughter

A local mother was re-arrested in court on Tuesday morning after appearing before a judge. This after deputies charged her with pouring boiling water on her 9-month-old daughter.

Deputies re-arrested 33-year-old Michelle Woodhouse-Deboyes just before 11AM on Tuesday as she made her first appearance on child abuse charges in the Onslow County Court.

Sheriff Ed Brown said Woodhouse-Deboyes flipped her child's seat over, bruising her infants face, because she wouldn't stop crying. Investigators say the mother then held the girl down in the hot water puddled on the floor.

During her first appearance on Tuesday, the State asked her bond to be raised and secured. The judge set Woodhouse-Deboyes' bond at $100,000 secured, putting her back in the Onslow County Jail.
