April Fools' Day is much warmer across eastern Carolina. High pressure near the East Coast will move offshore Tuesday, bringing a warmer southerly flow to the area. Mostly sunny skies and afternoon temperatures in the middle to upper 70s inland and near 70° along the beaches can be expected. Temperatures will likely stay in the 60s along the Outer Banks.
Dry and even warmer conditions will dominate the weather for the latter portion of the week. Afternoon highs will hit 80° or lower 80s Wednesday through Friday. The next chance for showers will develop Friday night or Saturday but rainfall amounts are expected to be light.
