A winter weather advisory is in effect until 7am on Saturday for Beaufort, Mainland Hyde, Martin, Outer Banks Dare, Tyrrell, Washington and western Dare County. The threats are black ice and slick roadways.
High pressure will continue to build over the area through Monday afternoon, keeping skies clear with temperatures staying in the 80s. A southeasterly breeze will keep conditions comfortable through the day. Humidity levels will once again register below average making for a pleasant afternoon.
The high pressure system will slowly move off shore on Tuesday, which will send our highs in to the middle 80s Tuesday to low 90s by Wednesday. There is a chance of scattered afternoon storms Wednesday through Friday.
