More Travelers Choosing Highway Over Runway

More Americans are choosing the highway over the runway this holiday season than ever before.

A new survey from Trip Advisor reveals 53 percent of Americans will be loading up the family car and driving to their destination for the holidays...that's up 5 percent from a year ago. Most say they are driving instead of flying due to the cost of airfare.

The average cost of a round trip ticket in economy class is up 9 percent, while gas prices have dropped 4 percent and may continue to fall through the Christmas holiday.
