More thunderstorms are expected to dot the radar picture Sunday afternoon as more day time heating leads to convection later in the day. Partly sunny skies to start the day will lead to afternoon highs in the low 90s. It is this heating that will help thunderstorms form later in the day. A few of these storms could be severe, but most should lose strength as they approach the coast. Minor flooding could be an issue, especially for folks in Dare and Tyrrell counties, who were in the rain for the majority of the afternoon and evening on Saturday.
