After news that three missing Ohio women were found after more than a decade, a local family says they're feeling optimistic about finding their missing girl as well.
Jalesa Reynolds of Scotland Neck in Halifax County has been missing more than 3 years. She was last seen when she was 18- years-old in February 2010 at the Scotland Neck Memorial Library, and the police department has been trying to crack the case ever since. We spoke with Reynolds' mother, about how she felt when she heard about the missing women in Ohio.
"I never stop thinking about her, and I never gave up hope. It got me very excited. No matter how long it's been, there's always a miracle somewhere," said Jalesa's mother Bernice Reynolds.
While Bernice Reynolds is holding out hope, Scotland Neck Police Chief Joe Williams says every case is different, and he wants the family, and others, to stay grounded with their expectations.
