A second American aid worker has reportedly contracted Ebola while abroad in the African nation of Liberia.
The Vice President of Samaritan's Purse told reporters that Dr. Kent Brantly was stable yet very serious condition.
The official also said Nancy Writebol, a worker with an associated group named Serving In Mission, also contracted the deadly disease.
NBC's Charlotte affiliate reports Writebol is a missionary who, along with her husband, is serving in Liberia.
Writebol was reportedly working on Monrovia when she contracted the disease.
Ken Isaacs with Samaritan's Purse said both American workers have been isolated and are under intensive treatment.
Ebola is considered one of the most deadly viruses in the world.
