A winter weather advisory has been issued for all of eastern Carolina except Carteret, Onslow, and Duplin counties from 6pm Thursday through 4am Friday. Light freezing rain and sleet will be possible.
A cold front approaching eastern Carolina from the west will bring clouds and scattered showers through Thursday, especially during the morning hours. Total rainfall should generally average about a quarter inch.
The front will sweep the moisture offshore by Thursday evening followed by drier and cooler air. Sunny and cool conditions can be expected both Friday and Saturday, with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. Lows in the low to mid 30s Friday night will bring frost to inland areas by sunrise Saturday.
Sunday and Veteran's Day will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 60s.
