A winter weather advisory is in effect until 7am on Saturday for Beaufort, Mainland Hyde, Martin, Outer Banks Dare, Tyrrell, Washington and western Dare County. The threats are black ice and slick roadways.
A mild and humid weather pattern will continue across eastern Carolina through Tuesday. Temperatures will dip to near 60° early Tuesday then warm into the middle 70s during the afternoon. Some fog may develop early Tuesday but will burn off quickly during the morning. A few showers may develop during the afternoon but should remain widely scattered. More of the same can be expected on Wednesday.
