Men Arrested For Keeping Sisters At Wilmington Motel

Two sisters kidnapped from North Dakota are now safe with authorities here in North Carolina after police said they uncovered a case of human trafficking.

Our affiliate WECT reports 22-year-old Jeremy Moots of Oklahoma and 28-year-old Justin Angermeier of Missouri are in jail now.

Wilmington Police said both men are facing human trafficking charges after officers found a pair of teen sisters from North Dakota trapped at the Travel Lodge on Market Street.

The girls told detectives they were being held there, forced to work for a company selling magazines.

A pair of 18-year-old male cousins from Tennessee were also found under similar circumstances, according to WECT.

The accused human traffickers are being held under a $350,000 bond each.
