VETERANS DAY CRIME: Marine Charged With Stabbing Fellow Marine
Deputies say fight between two Marines landed one in the hospital and the other in jail.
Jones County deputies say the stabbing happened in the Maysville area around 2:00 a.m. Monday.
Eric Smith, 29, has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and has been jailed on a $3,000 secured bond.
Deputies say the victim is going to be okay and that alcohol may have been a contributing factor.
Both Smith and the victim are assigned to Camp Lejeune.
