Two Charged In Kinston Shooting

Two people are now charged in the shooting of a Kinston man.

John Eddie Wilson and Jimmie Demiko Iquan Moore were arrested and charged with attempted first degree murder and felony conspiracy to commit attempted first degree murder in the shooting of Demarcus Jones.

Jones was shot Wednesday.

Kinston police are investigating a shooting late Wednesday night at a convenience store.

Officers responded to a shots fired call at the U. S. Mini Mart at 1404 Old Snow Hill Road in Kinston at 11:56 p.m. Officers found blood at the scene, but no victim.

Detectives learned later that a shooting victim arrived at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Demarcus Jones, 20 had been shot in the left wrist and left leg. Crews then airlifted Jones to Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville. His condition is not known at this time.

No suspects have been arrested, according to police.
