Man Shot Five Times, Suspect Arrested

A man is in a Greenville hospital tonight after being shot five times, including once in the head, at a Nashville convenience store. Police say they have arrested the suspect.

Nashville police say it happened Saturday night at Omar's Quick Mart in Nash County. Police say the victim, Shiaphan Lewis, was walking out of the convenience store with the alleged gunman, Marcus Alston, when Lewis was shot.

Lewis was then found a block away from the store with five bullet wounds, one in the head, two in the back, one in the arm, and one in the hand.

He was taken to Nash Health Care System and then Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

Alston was arrested and charged with first degree attempted murder. He is in the Nash County Jail under a $75,000 dollar bond.
