Attempted Murder Suspect Found, Jailed

After nearly a week of looking for one man accused of shooting another for no apparent reason, officers have found that attempted murder suspect and put him in jail.

Bethel Police said the weekend of August 10th, they believed Cotrell Davis had shot at another person on Cedarwood Circle.

Since that weekend, officer have been looking for Davis.

Jailers at the Pitt County Detention Center said on Wednesday afternoon, Davis was arrested by deputies.

The 25-year-old has now been charged with attempted first degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon intent to kill inflicting serious injury, discharging a weapon within the city limits, and non-support of a child.

Davis bond was set at $500,230 ahead of his first court appearance set for Thursday morning.
