Man Wanted For Norfolk Murder Caught In Williamston

A man wanted for murder in Virginia has been caught here in Eastern Carolina.

Norfolk police say Lavonta Bland was arrested last week in Williamston where he was tracked by the U.S. Marshal's Area Regional Task Force and the police department's Fugitive Squad.

The 27-year-old Bland and his brother, Latreal, are accused in the August 2nd murder of La'ron Davis and the wounding of another man in Norfolk.

Latreal Bland was already in custody for the shootings.

Lavonta Bland is in the Bertie-Martin Regional Jail awaiting his return to Virginia to face charges.
