Man Rescued From Fishing Boat In Pamlico Sound

A crew member of a 70-foot fishing boat was rescued early Tuesday morning by the U.S. Coast Guard.

The 18-year-old man was on the "Capt Ryan" in the Pamlico Sound, some 15 miles northwest of the Hatteras Inlet. The man had collapsed and experienced a seizure.

A 25-foot response boat was launched from Coast Guard Station Hatteras Inlet and the man was taken back to their station.

The victim ended up refusing medical treatment from local EMS and was met by his family members.
