A Jacksonville man is locked up after warrants say he abused his 4 month old son.
Sheriff Ed Brown says that 23-year-old Cody Owens was charged on Thursday with assault on a child under 12 years of age and intentional child abuse to cause serious injury.
Sheriff Brown says according to his investigators, Owens threw his 4-month-old son to the ground, which is said to have caused bleeding on the child’s brain.
Owen’s is locked up on a $80,000 secured bond and has an April 21st court date.
