Man Pleads Guilty To 2010 Murder Of Greenville Wrecker Service Owner

A man has admitted to killing the owner of a Greenville wrecker business back in 2010 after his car was towed.

Eric Holloway pleaded guilty to second degree murder Tuesday afternoon at the Pitt County Courthouse.

Clay Malloy, Sr. was found dead behind his business, Clay's Wrecker Service on Chestnut Street.

Holloway's vehicle was towed from a Greenville apartment complex and prosecutors say he went to confront the wrecker service owner and retrieve his vehicle.

A judge sentenced Holloway to serve between 21-1/2 years and 26-1/2 years in prison.
