A winter weather advisory has been issued for all of eastern Carolina except Carteret, Onslow, and Duplin counties from 6pm Thursday through 4am Friday. Light freezing rain and sleet will be possible.
A Swansboro man will spend the next ten to thirteen years in prison after his guilty plea to killing a woman.
John Giltz pleaded guilty to second degree murder this morning in Onslow County Superior Court.
The 67-year-old Giltz was arrested several days after the January 2012 murder of Suzy Zemlick. The victim lived with Giltz and his wife at their Dogwood Lane home and was shot.
