Man Charged In Drive-By Shooting

A man has been arrested after police say he fired a gun at a group of people last night.

Terrance Daniels is charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Williamston police say around 10:25 p.m. they got a call to the 1700 block of West Main Street about a shooting. Witnesses told police a burgundy Ford Taurus was seen driving away. That vehicle was intercepted in the 1300 block of Holly Drive and four people inside were detained.

Daniels was eventually charged and he's now being held on a half-million dollar bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for January 16th.
