Man Arrested With More Than 100 Gallons Of Moonshine

A Virginia man was arrested in Nash County after deputies say they discovered more than 100 gallons of moonshine in his van.

The Nash County Sheriff's Office arrested 68-year-old Clayton Bolling of Richmond, Va. on November 9. Officials say they were contacted by the Harnett County Sheriff's Office about Bolling and stopped him on I-95.

Captain Pat Joyner says boxes with four gallons each of moonshine covered every seat in the back of the van, covered by a blanket. In total, there were 114 gallons of the illegal liquor.

Bolling was charged with possessing or selling an alcoholic beverage without a permit, transporting a non-tax-paid alcoholic beverage and possessing or selling a non-tax-paid alcoholic beverage. He was released from jail after posting a $2,000 bond.

Bolling is due back in court in Nash County on December 11.
