Plans are in the works for one Eastern Carolina city to get its third full-size Walmart.
A super Walmart, complete with a pharmacy, is expected to come to Greenville. The new store will be on the north side of the river on Staton House Road.
The 162,000 square-foot facility will be built on land next to Sheetz.
Greenville Mayor Allen Thomas says it will bring hundreds of jobs to the area, although the specific number is not known.
This will make the sixth Walmart to go up in the Greenville city limits. Three of those are neighborhood stores that have yet to open.
