Overnight lightning damage caused power outages at Cherry Point, which have now been restored.

The air station said emergency crews worked this morning to repair the damage.

Cherry Point said the outages centered on the northside of the air station, near the Slocum Road gate. They say no operations were impacted by the outage.

Those still without power should call the Facilities Maintenance Department Service Desk at 252-466-4363 or 252-466-4364.
