Lawmen: Heroin Pipeline From New Jersey To Greenville Busted

Authorities say they've busted a heroin pipeline from New Jersey to Greenville and put three people behind bars.

Members of the Greenville Regional Drug Task Force and DEA Raleigh arrested Derrick Howard and Chauncey Green, both of Greenville, and charged them with numerous heroin trafficking offenses.

Law enforcement say they seized 60 grams of heroin being transported from Newark, New Jersey to Greenville.

Officials also arrested Eddie Taylor, who they say is the main supplier of the heroin source in Newark.

According to the investigation, Green is responsible for distributing 5 kilograms of heroin in Greenville.

Green and Howard are held in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $2 million secured bond.
