Kinston Wins Third Straight State Title

The Kinston High School boys basketball team won a third consecutive 2A state title on Saturday by beating North Rowan 67-57 at Reynolds Coliseum.

Kinston's outstandinf junior guard Brandon Ingram was held to just five first half points but added 23 in the second half to finish with a game high 28 points. Ingram's running mate Andrew Lopez scored 27 points.

It was Kinston's 10th state title in school history.
