An Atlanta Hawks player and native of Kelford will be sponsoring a Youth skills Camp at a local high school.
Kent Bazemore, who recently signed with the professional basketball team, will be sponsoring that camp at Bertie High School in Windsor.
Bazemore graduated from the school in 2007. He said he loves giving back to the community and he wants to share his experience with the kids since he left 7 years ago.
He also says he was their age one time and went to a basketball camp and he puts himself in their shoes and believes it is important for someone who they look up to, to spend time with the children.
The camp began Monday and will continue through Wednesday. It is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
The campers' fee will go toward Bazemore's foundation called A.R.M.S, which stands for Aspire, Resilience, Motivation and Success.
