The Highway Patrol says the driver of a Jeep that crossed the center line of Highway 17 in Jones County and struck a log truck Monday night remains in intensive care and is expected to be charged when he is released.

Troopers told WITN Brandon Schroeder had surgery Monday night and was still in the ICU Tuesday night. Schroeder is expected to be OK after the wreck Monday about 5:30 p.m.

The log truck truck driver, Maurice Green, was taken to the hospital and is also expected to be OK. Troopers expect Schroeder to be charged with driving left of center once he is released from the hospital.
