Jacksonville Woman Donates 700 Books To Community College

Students at the Coastal Carolina Community College now have 700 new books to read thanks to a generous Jacksonville woman.

Diane Pina is a former school teacher who loves to read. After a collection of 1000 hard covers she thought it was time to donate some.

Sally Goodman is the head librarian at the college and says, "If it weren't for this donation we wouldn't have our shelves right now filled with these fiction books. They are in excellent condition and we are just so grateful to her and this donation."

The more than 700 titles are modern fiction books. It was good timing because students were asking the head librarian for more fiction novels.
