A Havelock man is under arrest for an early morning shooting in Jacksonville.
Captain Patricia Driggers says Desmond Hill of Havelock is charged with discharging a firearm with in the city limits.
Driggers says one person was injured in the gunfire at the Holiday City Mobile Home Park around 1:30 a.m. Monday. The person's injuries were labeled as not life-threatening, and the name of the victim was not released.
The crime at 336 Helen Street had police on the scene for more than an hour early Monday.
Jacksonville Police surrounded a mobile home off Lejeune Boulevard early Tuesday morning after a call for shots fired in the area.
WITN's Rachael Cardin said officers had surrounded a Holiday City mobile home at 336 Helen Street for more than an hour, but no crime scene tape was put up.
Jacksonville Police confirmed with WITN they were called to that mobile home for the report of shots fired around 1:30 a.m.
Police would not say if anyone was hurt or arrested in the case, citing an on-going investigation.
Investigators did note there was no cause for public concern.
