Arrest Made In Jacksonville Hotel Robbery

Police have arrested a Jacksonville man for last week's robbery of a hotel.

Wendell Williams has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

The Econo Lodge on North Marine Boulevard was robbed last Thursday around 1:30 a.m. Police say a man came into the hotel, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk was not hurt.

Police say the 23-year-old Williams lives about a half mile from the hotel.

Police say the Econo Lodge on North Marine Boulevard was robbed around 1:30 a.m.

Police say the man in these pictures pointed a gun at the clerk and ran from the hotel with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The gunman is described as a black man, approximately 5'6" to 5'8" tall, and weighing 180 pounds.

No one was injured in the robbery.

The gunman is described as a black man, approximately 5'6" to 5'8" tall, and weighing 180 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black baggie pants (possibly sweatpants), and dark shoes with light trim.
