Jacksonville Homeless Shelter Receives Much Needed Supplies

A local homeless shelter is on the right track to helping hundreds of people without a place to stay.

The Onslow County Homeless Shelter in Jacksonville said it is on pace to help over 200 people struggling with homelessness.

The shelter mostly relies on donations and the SIA Group, an insurance agency, stepped forward to provide much needed supplies.

The donation is be given to the shelter through an employee campaign, where SIA staff worked together to make the contribution.

Supplies donated include cleaning supplies and hygiene items.

SIA also gave $500.00.

Onslow County Outreach representatives were on hand to collect the items.
