Jacksonville Firefighters Set Building On Fire For Training

Jacksonville firefighters burned down a building planned for demolishment on Country Club Drive Thursday night around 6:00 p.m. in case you saw smoke or fire in the area.

Building owners gave the city permission to demolish it, so the city decided to use the site for a live training exercise for city firefighters.
Officials say any inconvenience to the public is necessary to get this special kind of training.
