Nearly 500 pounds of food was served to people in Greenville on Thanksgiving who didn't have a place to get their traditional holiday meal.
For the 22nd year, the Little Willie Center in Greenville opened its doors to feed hundreds in the community.
Organizers say the crowd gets bigger every year. They served nearly 500 people a hot Thanksgiving meal. And volunteers and diners say they look forward to coming back every year.
Jennifer Roberson is the community outreach coordinator for the center and told us why the day is important to her. "Knowing that you're making a difference in somebody's life. Somebody is being touched by coming out here today."
Saundra Dye was among those who enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal at the center. Saundra says, "So nice. They took a lot of time out of their own family time to come out and help us out."
Volunteers say left over food will be distributed to those in need in the community.
