"How Cool Is Your School?" Tour Visits Greene Early College High School

Week 3: Greene Early College High School in Greene County was the site of Friday morning's third "How Cool Is Your School?" stop by WITN News at Sunrise.

Teachers and students taught Jim and Heather how students can get a high school diploma while taking college classes at the high school level.

While most early colleges do not have sports teams, bands or other extracurricular activities, this school offers clubs and activities for students to still get similar experiences. This year studentes went to Washington D.C., started an intramural sports program, held their first prom and hosted many different clubs all based on what sparks students' interest.

This week is teacher appreciation week, so Greene Early College High School took advantage of their T-V time to honor their teacher of the year, John McClure who teaches social studies.

Congrats to Greene Early College High School!

WITN News at Sunrise will be live at one more schools in May. We'll announce the next stop Wednesday on WITN News at Sunrise.

How Cool Is Your School is supported by Overton's.
