Homeless Man Charged With Greenville Business Break-Ins

By  |

A homeless man is accused of breaking into the same Greenville restaurant twice, and a nearby internet sweepstakes café.

40-Year old Emmett Lang is charged with breaking into the Winners Play Sweepstakes on West Arlington Boulevard near Memorial Drive. He's also charged with breaking into a restaurant across from there on Memorial Drive, RJ's Famous Chicken and BBQ, twice. The restaurant was broken into December 18th and November 15th.

The restaurant owner says the intruder was in the store for two hours on one occasion and stole $1,300 from her safe, change from the gumball machine, and damaged doors and windows.

A patrol officer's field interview of Lang is what led to the charges against him this week. His bond is set at $50,000.
