A mobile home in Pitt County is a total loss as fire crews battled the flames and cold to try and put it out.
Belvoir Volunteer Fire Department Chief Tom Harris says the call came in around 7:15 Tuesday night to a mobile home in the 500 block of Garris Road.
Harris says crews from his department, Staton House and Falkland fought the fire for 45 minutes, but the home was destroyed.
Harris says no one was home at the time, but dogs and cats in the home died.
It's unclear how or where the fire started, but Harris says they don't believe it was arson.
