Highway Patrol tells WITN a pickup truck ended up crashing into a mobile home Friday night injuring the driver and knocking out power for some nearby residents.
It happened in James City in Craven County just off of Highway 70 near East Grantham Road around 6:30 p.m.
Troopers say the driver wasn't seriously injured, but was taken to Vidant Medical center in Greenville.
There were two people inside the trailer, but they were not seriously injured.
Troopers are still investigating, but say for some reason, the driver swerved off of the road, hit a ditch, a utility pole, and then the mobile home.
Troopers say charges are pending.
