Health Care Debate Continues As Government Shutdown Looms

The marathon debate over the Affordable Care Act, often called Obamacare, continued Wednesday as a government shutdown looms.

Some Republicans are trying to delay action on a spending bill because some Senate Democrats are planning to remove a provision in the bill that would dismantle President Barack Obama's health care law.

The measure is needed to prevent a government shutdown after midnight Monday.

The next phase under the Affordable Care Act is scheduled to roll out Tuesday, when open enrollment begins.
