Halifax Co. Man Stopped On Scooter, Arrested For Drug Charges

We may be prepping for snow, but Operation Summer Heatwave has netted more arrests.

The Halifax County Sheriffs deputies arrested 25-year-old Bryant Harrison for suspicion of dealing crack cocaine near a high school.
Deputies stopped Harrison on a scooter in Roanoke Rapids for an equipment violation.

When deputies discovered Bryant had existing warrants for selling drugs within 100 feet of a school and possession, he was placed under arrest. Harrison was given a $25,000 bond. His first court date is June 5th.
