Greenville Woman Arrested For Altering Prescription From Dentist's Office

A local woman was arrested and charged with forgery after deputies say she altered a prescription from a dentist office.

The Pitt County Sheriff's Office received a complaint about the altered prescription from the Wal-Mart Pharmacy on Greenville Boulevard.

Deputies say 23-year-old Rebecca Buck altered the prescription by changing the quantity of the drug dispensed.

The pharmacy did not fill the prescription and alerted authorities after Buck left. After an investigation, the sheriff's office arrested Buck at her West Ridge Court home on Friday.

Buck is charged with common law forgery. Her bond was set at $10,000 secured.
